That's rocket ship fast for a sailboat. I crewed on a friends Hobie 16 and

Ten knots in a sailboat opens a whole lot of territory for a daytrip.

I coast along at about 4kts average on my 1967 Morgan 24. Hull speed is
probably around 5.5 and 10 would be screamin'.
I don't sail to get anywhere, just enjoy sailing. If I want to go somewhere
I take the old pontoon. My Mrs. jibes me about (mono) sailboats outrunning
it but I'm pretty sure I can take em.
