They just scoot along. Maybe too fast to troll though. This is a Corsair F-24. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9kL6...eature=related But now I thinking about the Telstar 28. I like the ama engineering (no tools), bigger cabin, easier mast takedown/up - for less money. Not as fast as the Farriers, maybe 15-17 knots tops under sail, but can motor faster. Check out the guy standing on the ama at the end of the vid. Imagine standing there about 25 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico, fishing deep for grouper. Tie yourself off if it's bumpy. Probably glue a cupholder somewhere to hold a cold drink. Iced tea or beer, depending. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxRc8...eature=related What do you think, Wayne? You game for some sailing/fishing? --Vic Had a neighbor who sailed an F-27 in the single handed transpac a few years ago. I asked him if he was ever scared. He said, "Only once, but it was from the start all the way to the finish." |
