Used to be a great pizza parlor in Jalon, but Jalon seemed to be dead the last time I went there. I think the troop draw downs killed it. The first bright lights and a motel my wife would sleep in was King City. Should have gone over the hill to the ocean side and asked for a room at Hearst Castle. Some nice places and very good food in Cambria. Brambles was a favorite, but they lost lease after 30 years. We stopped at the Post Ranch Hotel and it was $1200 a night. Cambria is a lot cheaper. Kirk Creek Campground in the area is rated as one of best campgrounds in America. Fantastic views on the seashore. |

Man, I used to really like camping but now it kinda' sucks. Of course it's different when you are there to work ![]() Rowdy Mouse Racing, oh ****, did the Grand Prix run yet! I like camping. Just need to be set up for it. Yeah, I am pretty well set up as far as gear, coolers, electricity, shower.... In the ten or so camping weekends we have had this year, I can't remember even one where it didn't rain (pour like hell) the night before the race(s)... One of our sponsors gave me a ticket to the Nationals a few weeks back and I have never been there. Woke up and it was raining, sent The Mouse but I stayed home. Just didn't want to be at Southwick in the rain again... ![]() -- Wafa free since 2009 |

Just buy her a $1.5 million Prevost camper and she might change her mind. But would be cheaper to stay at Rock Creek Ranch. |

My truck camper is a lot different than a tent. Not large, but nice heater, queensize bed, stove and indoor plumbing. |
