You done got yourself a good one there. Does she do new tubes too?? What is a 'new tube'? Jees -- first 'steampunk' and now 'new tubes'. My little mind can't take all this new stuff. -- John H "The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not." Thomas Jefferson |

No. She doesn't have her bike anymore. The DC traffic is not fun for riding, and it takes forty-five minutes to get out of it to decent roads. She says she'll get another bike when we move to someplace without all the traffic. I've never had to change a tube while on the road. Lucky me. I've got the tools, but the one time I tried to take the tire off, I couldn't get it off. Of course, that wasn't an emergency situation, like on a back road in Texas with rattlesnakes circling. -- John H "The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not." I have been on some pretty exciting roads right here in the good old USA. The road up to Mt Washington is pretty hairy on a foggy day and Iron Mountain Road in SD near Mt Rushmore is exciting but the logging roads up in the mountains of virtually any western state have to rank pretty high, not only because of sheer cliffs and no guard rails but by the possibility of coming up on a logging truck coming the other way. We had fun on the back road from Big Sur into the Liggett Army Base in California last week. A couple brothers and I are taking off Monday for a motorcycle trip through NY, VT, NH, and ME. Looking forward to some good roads up there too. That Mt Washington rd would be cool on a bike. It is around Conway NH. There are some nice little country roads all through northern NH and VT. On this trip, the youngest of the five boys is doing the trip routing. It's his chance to excell. If the twisties get exceptional, then I'll let the Guzzi go and wait for the two Harley's at the other end. -- John H "Vote for a Democrat, it's easier than working!" |

Rode it many times back when I was stationed at Hungy Maggot Lifer Reservation (official name Hunter Liggett Military Reservation) The road up Carmel Valley that comes out near Greenfield used to be pretty cool as well. del cecchi |
