on now is a quad-core with 4 GB of RAM. *Vista is running fine on

What is she loading at startup?

Those two factors have a lot to do with how quickly VISTA starts up.

Beats me, Harry. I really dont' know, but the machine is a year old,
so it's probably got a good memory. I'm not really sure of the
protocol.
