Default preventing capsize

During WWII the U-boats would operate in enormous waves, having no
choice in the matter. Waves would sweep the ship from bow to stern,
immersing the conning tower for as much as 45 seconds. The boats did
not rise to the waves, they harpooned them. Once the watch below sent
the relief to the bridge, and there was nobody there. Davy Jones had
the four of them.
