Default Gelcoat Maple tree stains

Try FSR. It's a blue gel with oxalic acid in it... has always worked for me.

I believe it is although I'm not too sure... all I know is I have a couple
cans of it at home here that work great! I'm curious about that now and
will have to look into it.

I can't vouch for how well this stuff would work on sap but I am going

to
guess that you would be referring to the "Original Formula" Rapid tap as
opposed to the "New" formula. The original was mostly

1,1,1-Trichloroethane
while the new is mostly mineral oil. At one time most tapping fluids

were
1,1,1-Trichloroethane based but I believe that the chemical itself can

no
longer be made in the US because it is ozone depleting.

Something that I have been able to use on car, boat, canoe, anything

is
Rapid Tap. I'm not sure where you can get it from but it's used for

tapping
threads in pipe and steel. It works and doesn't damage the paint,

gelcoat
or materials.... plus it's cheap.

Good Luck!

Spent a nice day on a coworkers 26' Macgreger Sailboat.
Beautiful boat except it recently was stored under a tree
and has horrible sap stains all over it.
He says he has tried everything. Today I tried Xtreme hull cleaner,

a
product I found worked really well on waterline scum ,basically an

acid,
it
didnt work at all.
Any suggestions? Magic potions? Grammas old recipies?
Thanks in advance.
