Wasn't there a big tornado that passed through your area a couple of years ago? Yes, about one mile south of my home in Lady Lake. We stopped at Pauly's for slices Sunday. It's at Town Square. Do you know the place. Don't want to give Hairy too much info. Let him dig for it. Not sure which of the two Squares you're referring to. There was one decent pizza place in all of metro Jacksonville, and the last time I asked a "bud" down there what was happening, he said the place had changed hands. Good NY pizza is found in New York, New Haven, and a few other places where there is a significant Italian population. Good Chicago pizza, as far as I have discovered, is found in Chicago, possibly still at Giordano's. Central Florida? Nah. -- "John H" wrote in message ... Please note that Interstate 90 will be closed this weekend across South Dakota. This closure will allow the Federal Government free access to haul a 200 ton piece of coal to Mt. Greek style pan pizza is pretty good too. |

Greek style pan pizza is pretty good too. I like it the way you do. Never had the Greek style. A friend of mine has a joint in Chicago and when talking to him about it he says the cheese available here is not the same. Also, I like sausage and nothing here compares favorably to Chicago for me. Here the green peppers, mushrooms and onions are ok, but you can't make a pizza to suit my taste with just those. The big hang-up for me is the cheese, too "watery" and makes the curst all soggy. I've had some good thin crust here, but the cheese spoils it. I hope to have Pauley's report shortly. I'm getting hungry...if I wasn't headed for the golf course I may have gone there for lunch. |
