When, where, or why did the Canadian government spend "billions" on GM? I'm not saying it isn't true but I would love to see if it is. Tax credits only go so far. |

Except that Bush was at Yale, courtesy of daddy. GWB was a graduate of Harvard Business School - MBA. Stand corrected. How the hell did he get through that program, or any program for that matter. My regard for Harvard has just dropped several notches. I count many graduates as my friends and have generally been impressed with their thinking skills, world view. They failed Bush in a big way. He's gone on to successfully wreck several businesses and a country. Where've you been for the last 8 years. Right here in the USA. Where have you been? Bum****? |

The Asian automanufacturers will go where the labor laws are most favorable. This means as far away from the UAW/CAW as they can get. The European and Asian auto manufacturers have already proven that there is a viable non-union workforce in the southeastern US. Interesting...a national cable tv program called 'Car Business' did an item on the new billion dollar assembly plant in Woodstock Ontario. Yes...this is a Toyota plant producing RAV4s' for the North American market. (my RAV4 was assembled there) Seems it was planned to have 3 shifts pumping our 200K SUVs per year but the downturn has them operating one shift producing 70K RAV4s'. That's not the economy. It's the lack of interest in RAV4's. |

Bush actually had slightly better grades than his contemporary Gore, but I agree they were both well connected and that is how they got past admissions. It's one thing to get past admissions, it's another to graduate. But he did, with better grades than Gore. Gore is obviously capable of rigor. That would be rigor mortis... Gore is definitely capable of rigor mortis. |

Bush actually had slightly better grades than his contemporary Gore, but I agree they were both well connected and that is how they got past admissions. It's one thing to get past admissions, it's another to graduate. Both Yale and Harvard are known for rigor. I haven't a clue how Bush could have mustered any rigor beyond drinking and snorting in the most concentrated fashion. Gore is obviously capable of rigor. Gore flunked out of divinity school and law school. A Republithug mantra. I dare say that the country would be in a hell of a lot better shape if Bush hadn't gotten into office. It's the truth. Albert S. Gore Jr. flunked out of Divinity school and law school. This left him with only one field of endeavor left, politics and he screwed that up too. I'm sure you'll disagree and tell us how we've shored up our security and protection and used 911 to create better relationships with the world. Screw the world. We need to survive as a nation regardless as to whether the world likes us or not. |
