Gets worse if you dig into it further, for example, Chryslers CEO is Harvard and a former Secretary of the Treasury under Bush is in the fold. Even Dan Quile(?) is in there somewhere with Cerberus, Caryle and GMAC well represented. If perception could convict, these people would be brought up on charges of treason. |

Tell me again why we're dumping billions down this rat hole? http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/18/bu....html?_r=1&hpw Just last week GMy closed a truck manufacturing plant in Ontario. I think the Canadian gov't should forget about stuffing billions into this dead horse and encourage the best of the Asian companies to build plants here. The Asian automanufacturers will go where the labor laws are most favorable. This means as far away from the UAW/CAW as they can get. The European and Asian auto manufacturers have already proven that there is a viable non-union workforce in the southeastern US. They will go where they can get a favorable position on cost, efficiency and quality with a view that is longer than Wagoner's nose. Practicing business the way it should be. Something the CAW/UAW will never understand while they have their hands out for taxpayers moneys. |

My regard for Harvard has just dropped several notches. I count many graduates as my friends and have generally been impressed with their thinking skills, world view. They failed Bush in a big way. He's gone on to successfully wreck several businesses and a country. |

Bush actually had slightly better grades than his contemporary Gore, but I agree they were both well connected and that is how they got past admissions. It's one thing to get past admissions, it's another to graduate. Both Yale and Harvard are known for rigor. I haven't a clue how Bush could have mustered any rigor beyond drinking and snorting in the most concentrated fashion. Gore is obviously capable of rigor. Gore flunked out of divinity school and law school. |
