I can get it to pull the line if I take the tension off the line and pull the anchor up by hand . I have been told that the line may be worn and that there is nothing to grip ?? Any suggestions ?? -- Rick Suds My best guess, is the motor is worn out. You didn't say how old the winch was... Is this like a winch on a 4X4? If so, isn't the cable bolted to the drum when it's put on? Is this like a Windlass, or an actual Winch? What would you do if you were he? Sorry, not enough information to make that deduction. That's why I asked. Very unlikely it is a winch. Very unlikely that the anchor rode is cable. Doesn't positively say either...... |
