Default Weekend Weathe NJ to MA / Transporting Boat

What are everyones thoughts on this weekends Weather. I am supposed to
be bringing by new boat North this weekend, but am unsure of the
Weather. The Boat is a 36 trojan and I am headed from Barnegat NJ to
MA.... What are your thoughts would you go this weekend. or wouldyou
wait.. Scattered showers possibely thunderstorms 30% wind 5-10 Seas
3-4?
This is for Friday and that would be the NJ to NYC leg?

What would you do?

Thanks

This time of year is very unpredictable on the east coast and particularly
as you approach MA.
In general, the seas are usually still somewhat heavy until June, although
occasionally you can also find them flat calm particularly near the coast.
If you are going through the Cape Cod Canal, the typical rule of thumb is
that whatever it's like on one side, it will be the opposite on the other.

This weekend is too far away to predict actual conditions. Right now it's
cold and rainy here in MA.
If the disturbance re-develops offshore, as is very common, it could easily
become a minor nor'easter traveling up the coast by the weekend. Or, it may
blow out to sea and be nice. Who knows?

What would I do?

I'd make flexible plans. If the weather and seas look good on the morning
of a particular leg of your trip, go for it. If conditions deteriorate to
an uncomfortable state, pull into a port and wait it out.

Harry will tell you to never, ever go out in anything but flat calm.
It's just too dangerous out there. Stay in your house with your doors
locked, and the shades pulled. And keep your children in a
hermetically sealed room away from all danger

Well, I think what you meant to say is listen to Eisboch, he is a
boater familiar with the area in question. Harry is a poser and should
seriously be dismissed... And that's being nice...

I think the big bad world would be safer than inside Krause's house with
all the gun playing going on there.- Hide quoted text -

Yeah, he swears they are always loaded, and he will "blow off heads"
of anybody even cops that come to his door at night... Then he racks
and dryfires his widdew capguns in the house to try to impress someone
on the phone. I wonder if his landlord knows what he is doing in his
basement apartment?

You know, you've been "corrected" several times now, so it is obvious
you are not concerned about truth or reality. But that is no surprise to
me, since none of scum you hang with here, such as FloridaJim, Loogy,
and a few others, are, either.

Try to internalize this: you have to bust down my door at night to be
met with a shower of lead. That's quite different than coming to the
door. But maybe not in your peabrain.

It's not likely the local gendarmes would come to my house late at
night, but if they did, they would knock or ring the doorbell.

Oh...and any of my "widdew capguns" (sic) are capable of taking out a
piece of crap like you with one shot. Why the disdain for the damage a
handgun can do? Have you been shot?
