Purge is a good name for it. The few moderates left make easy targets
for the "true believers", but when the politically conservatives and the
religious conservatives that define the Republican base start targeting
each other, it's going to get truly ugly. I don't get it. To me, it's
guaranteed self-destruct.

Well, so long as the GOP insists on moving further to the right, my only
wish for the party is further humiliation.
