Default Great time...

Great show - never seen anything like it. Can't get over the
technology.

And extra added bonus - got to meet Paul O'Neal one of the founders of
TSO backstage. And a bunch of the musicians.

I might even go again next year - although one concert every 40 years
or so seems enough for me.

It's a great show - highly recommend it.

I finally got a chance to see them live a couple of weeks ago when
they were here. Our seats were on the floor, almost center 16th row,
so we could see the band and rigging very well, but I was wishing
that
we were back 2/3 of the way or more so we could really get a better
overall view of the light show.

Cool show to go see if you haven't already. It's funny seeing all
the
people that obviously think they are coming to see a Christmas
"orchestra", having only heard a couple of their songs on mainstream
radio. They are a rock band. Pretty smokin' in most songs, just
different. Think ELO on Christmas acid.

-cheers-

Jack

Umm... where are my lobsters, Tom? Welching on the bet?

You almost have to sit way back just to get a feel for the light show.
It's amazing.

Where did they play? *In Columbia?

At the Colonial Center in Columbia. It's one of the the local venues
for concerts and USC basketball.

Heh - yeah, but the backstage thing was total serendipity.

The gals went shopping and I was sitting across from a jewerly store
reading a copy of American Angler I picked up at Barnes and Noble. Guy
sits down next to me, notices what I'm reading and "oh- you fish?" -
guy has an English accent. So we strike up a conversation - he's a
big time fly fisherman - and it turns out that his daughter is one of
the featured soloists/backup singer and, get this, his wife's daughter
is the first violin (or whatever they can it) for the band.

Ok, my gals come out of the store and the guys wife is with them -
we're all standing around chatting, blah, blah, blah and the girls
invited the English couple to dinner with us - which was fine with me.

Make a long story short, we got to the show, met the daughters, they
got a hold of the band's traveling manager and we're all wisked off
backstage to meet the band.

Very cool.
