All I can say is thank you for sharing, Russ.
Tom wasn't exaggerating a bit. It is absolutely breathtaking and beautiful. Certainly a "keeper" for a long, long time. Eisboch |

When you publish the book, please include maps showing the locations of each shot. That's not too much to ask. -- *****Have a Spectacular Day!***** John H |

Actually I've addressed the situation you mentioned for my own purposes. Starting this year, I've geo-tagged every photo I've taken. That means that encoded in the EXIF data is the precise lat/lon coordinates I was standing in when I took the shot. The software I use to do this will export the geo-tag data as waypoints that can be used in Garmin's MapSource software. This way, when I look at a photo 10 years from now, when I'm even more old and feeble than I am now, I won't have to remember where I took the shot. All I have to do is look at the EXIF data and it's permanently written right there. Cool stuff. |

I told her I was fairly certain it was a Nikon, but I didn't know what model. Also, did you use the same camera for all the photographs? Eisboch |

Good idea with the EXIF data, except that the viewers of the PDF don't have access to it! It really is a beautiful work. -- *****Have a Spectacular Day!***** John H |

Also, did you use the same camera for all the photographs? Nikon D200, all shots with the exception of the last page. My wife took that one with a Coolpix P5000. I just listed the D200 on Craigslist yesterday. Time to move to the D300. |
