The government exists to provide national security, to develop and execute policies in the national interest, and to legislate federal laws for the common good and in accordance with the constitution. The government, in our form, is designed to preserve freedoms and opportunities, within the laws. It doesn't exist to "serve" in any other way. The conclusion you draw is due to the many interpretations and variances that have evolved over the past two centuries. Eisboch I see. You base your belief on theory, and I am steeped in reality.
