I doubt you could fix it if a component is truly gone. Pretty complex and I
think there are a lot of SMDs. If you open it up and let it dry out
completely you might get lucky.
$1,600 is a ridiculous price for just a control head. You can buy a new one
from West Marine for much less. They do come up on eBay fairly often. I
think you could also use an ST7000 or 8000 control head with your computer
so you don't necessarily have to wait for an ST6000 to show up. Good luck.
