autohelm 6000 auto pilot control head

Due to water getting in, displays only no link and does not respond to comands.
Have some skills in electronics, but need the schematic for that control unit to repair it.
It is a ST50 model, as all other instruments on board.
Local Raymarine rep asked about US$ 1,400.00 for a new ST 60 control head !!!
Help nedded !!!

I doubt you could fix it if a component is truly gone. Pretty complex and I
think there are a lot of SMDs. If you open it up and let it dry out
completely you might get lucky.
$1,600 is a ridiculous price for just a control head. You can buy a new one
from West Marine for much less. They do come up on eBay fairly often. I
think you could also use an ST7000 or 8000 control head with your computer
so you don't necessarily have to wait for an ST6000 to show up. Good luck.

In fact there are 3 of them as well as control heads for ST 8000 and 7000.
Just search for "autopilot" to retrieve all of them.
