Default Full fuel tanks for the winter

How did that water get there?

The bulb blew out because the glass cracked and developed a slow leak. The
filament burned out as soon as there was enough oxygen to let it burn. The
continued leakage in to the low pressure gas filled bulb sucked rain water
in through the not perfectly fitting gasket. The gasket was tight enough
however, to hold the water in against the very low pressure head of it's
weight and the vacuum lock of the glass dome.

Well i had a masthead light which was sealed with rubber grommets, the top
was plastic and screwed from the base upwards with a long stainless screw,
therefore holding it down from the inside. About a year after fitting the
bulb blew so after climbing the mast i found to my surprise that there was
about an inch of water inside. So bearing in mind what has been said here
How did that water get there?

God said, "Let there be water."
