Does anyone know if it is possible to sail up the Nile (and, of course, back down again) I watched a travel show tonight that had heaps of Egyptian sailboats (dhows?) and wondered if it was possible to do it in a private "non-Egyptian" capacity. Just curious as there are lots of other destinations in mind and I hadn't given that one any thought at all. Goran Schildt sailed up the Nile in a 38ft ketch in the fifties and wrote a great book about the trip. http://www.davidevesbooks.com/pi/1731.html Author Name: SCHILDT,GORAN.
