Well maybe... but those Garmin 45 units have to be at least 10 years old. That's a long time in the life of an electronics gadget. Mine still works like a champ. OH! Upon reflection, I remember that I sometimes have to unscrew the antenna and clean the connection to get a good "read". The slight corrosion also causes it to lose the satellites on a cloudy day or below decks.
