All metals will burn, but some are harder to light. In a good jet fuel fire the aluminum parts of the plane will burn. Indeed, for a really nice aluminum fire, recall the HMS Sheffield, during the Falklands War. One of the coolest things I've ever seen was an old LawnBoy lawnmower burning up, that was back when they made the decks out of magnesium. Cheers Marty |
