On an oposite note:
Can anyone recommend a good bottom cleaner. . ? I kept my 18 ft. sea ray in the Ct River (fresh) for the last season, and got the first layer off with a pressure washer, and the second off with a scrub brush and OxyClean (man, that oxyclean actually worked pretty good) Now I'm left with just a little bit of residue.. Someone at a local marina recommended something called "slimey-grimey" but it was like 30 something bucks for a little bottle... -j "Mike" wrote in message om... I have a 18ft Sea Ray bow rider that I kept in the water for a year in West Palm. We now keep it trailered and I would like to remove the anit-fouling paint I had put on it (to regain the speed I lost). Can anyone recomend how to do this and what paint I should put on (I don't need anti-fouling, just the standard hard paint)? I assume I'll have to sand the old bottom paint first. Thanks in advance, Mike |
