Boat Miami to Key Largo in 18 foot boat ??
Subject: Boat Miami to Key Largo in 18 foot boat ??
From: Anybody know, how long would it take an 18 foot Bayliner Capri Cuddy (1999 with a MercCruiser 3.0) to go from Miami (Matheson Hammock) to Key Largo (Pennicamp) via Atlantic coast? I used to run down fairly regularly in an 18 ft starcraft with a 90 on the back. It took a couple hours, taking it easy. You can just run down Biscayne Bay through Card Sound. If you want to cut out into the atlantic there are cuts on the north and south end of Elliot key, broad creek and the canal that cuts across Largo. Get the chart and take a look. It's a nice run.
