Make sure that you have a real good survey. I had a cat for 10 years
about year 8 the bridge deck showed signs delaminated. The entire
outer skin of the under side of the bridge deck and the foam core had
to be replaced. This was about a $10,000 job. The good thing is the
company stood by there boat and paid for the repairs. Another Cat I
know of had a bridge deck failure while sailing 40-50 miles off shore
in the Gulf of Mexico they had to be rescued by the Coast Guard and
lost the boat. I spoke to the owner afterward he said that he had some
of the same symptoms that I had had.
