Do you recommend seacocks with chrome plated bronze or stainless steel balls for handling waste? Both seem to be available at more or less the same price... bob |

![]() Do you recommend seacocks with chrome plated bronze or stainless steel balls for handling waste? Both seem to be available at more or less the same price... IMO, it's a toss up between those two, with MAYBE a slight edge to SS--but only if it's 316 investment cast. Otoh, when the chrome wears off, or is eaten off the plated, you'll just have what you should have bought in the first place: bronze. Just be sure it is bronze...you want to avoid chrome plate BRASS...which, if both the chrome and the SS are about the same price, I'd bet it is. -- Peggie ---------- Peggie Hall Specializing in marine sanitation since 1987 Author "Get Rid of Boat Odors - A Guide To Marine Sanitation Systems and Other Sources of Aggravation and Odor" http://www.seaworthy.com/store/custo...0&cat=6&page=1 http://shop.sailboatowners.com/detai...=400&group=327 |
