Jerry:
The flatter pitch prop is for the long shaft 9.8 hp O/B. I think that there are only two pitches for Tohatsu/Nissan O/Bs: the one that came with your short shaft and the one that comes with the long shaft model. So just ask the BoatUS special order clerk for a new prop for a long shaft Nissan. David |

From what I can determine there is a prop for the short shaft 8.5x8.5 and
one for a long shaft 8.5x7.5 plus Tohatsu lists a third prop for just "heavier" weight boats this is evidently an option for both long and short shaft motors. The pitch on this one is 8.5x6.5. The Caribe with the modified keel is 130 plus 56 pounds for the engine so I would think the later prop would be the answer. Jerry |

If you can wait a few weeks so I can get down to the boat and check, I will email you the pitch I have. I suspect it is the one in the middle, which is perfect for our dinghy. Our Caribe is a 9' MVP with a modified keel. It weighs rough 135 pounds. Is that similar to your 9X? Jerry |
