You might care to try the Shelburne Shipyard on Lake Champlain. They
probably have the space and any unusual tools you may need, and they
can put it right in the water after completion.

AND you get to live in Vermont, not Manhatten. Burlington has good
bars, good music, Woodworkers Warehouse and Queen City Steel. And you
have a great relatively calm test location with great scenery and many
nice marinas. You have a choice of leaving via canal either South to
Albany, on the Hudson, or North to the St Laurence, with a further
choice then of West to the Great Lakes or East to the Atlantic.

Makes me homesick, even if I am temporarily in Warmer Waters...
