Folding and feathering props are a blatant admission of the folly of dragging a fixed prop on a sailboat. I think they are ludicrous as they still remain a half-assed measure. Either you have a sailboat or you have a motorboat. If you are content with having a motorboat with a big diesel and fixed prop then stop trying to claim you are a sailor. It just ain't gonna happen!
