No, I need one that hasn't got a half cup of Sprite down its gullet.....I have tried everything I can think of to get them clean but nothing seems to work and it's a brand new laptop... The only way to clean it is to take out the keyboard, soak it in water, dry (completely of course), and reinstall. You could also use some isopropyl, but you have to be very conservative with it.That might not fix the problem entirely, but it'll help. I did something similar to my old laptop and it's working fine except for a single key that tends to be a bit mushy. It's not easy to do, so you might want to bring it in to a local service place. They've got the tools to pop it right out. Shouldn't cost all that much. hmmm...I will do that once we go home for the summer...there isn't anypace here I would trust with my laptop.... can't see how it pops out, tho...the casing comes over the ttop of it..I think it wil have to be taken apart...sigh... |

Yeah, basically, you have to remove a number of screws on the bottom (the correct ones), then the cover opens up. If you want a fancier one, you can spend double that, or even more if you really want to go all-out with the bells and whistles thing. |

I also remember paying a lot of money for keyboards back in the day, around the time "Windows for Workgroups" came out, when I used to build my own computers. But we used to go to computer swap meets then and could pick up some really good deals. Do they still have computer swap meets? |

Casady Mine at the momnet has more than a postivie click..more like a solid clunk....I paid too much for this thing to try to do it myslef so will wait until I can have a professional get in there and do it...thanks for all the suggestions... |
