Reminds of when I first went aboard my Navy destroyer and asked a salt
how to get to the forecastle. He said,
"What the **** are you talking about?"

Why? Because they used "Gun Wall" instead of "gunwale"?

That is what it means.

Etymology: 1466, gonne walle, or in modern English, gun plank,,,

No, I need one that hasn't got a half cup of Sprite down its
gullet.....I have tried everything I can think of to get them clean but
nothing seems to work and it's a brand new laptop...

The only way to clean it is to take out the keyboard, soak it in water, dry
(completely of course), and reinstall. You could also use some isopropyl,
but you have to be very conservative with it.That might not fix the problem
entirely, but it'll help. I did something similar to my old laptop and it's
working fine except for a single key that tends to be a bit mushy. It's not
easy to do, so you might want to bring it in to a local service place.
They've got the tools to pop it right out. Shouldn't cost all that much.

For a new laptop, a replacement keyboard shouldn't be terribly expensive...
