Default Need help on using the ENC Electronic charts

i just began playing with the navpak demo. they have a PDA version,
which, as far as i know, is the only stand alone (i.e not requiring
cf que or ique) PDA nav program that uses vector charts.

i find it to be highly non-intutive to use. there doesn't seem to
be a toolbar for example. still, i am going to stick with it until
the free trial expires - which i think is only a few days. there is
a yahoo user group which may help.

the demo is gps enabled but if know your way round with a sextant,
believe you can use them.

Check out
http://rosepointnav.com/ for an easy to use, full-featured,
and low-cost navigation system that takes advantage of the S-57 ENC
format charts.

We just stopped offering the $10 pre-release version because the real
product is about to ship, but if you go to
http://rosepointnav.com/payPalStart.htm and order one, we'll still
send it to you.

The pre-release we'll send you is no longer fully functional in that
it will not respond to a GPS, however once it's installed you can
download the latest update which will continue to work with a GPS
untile September 1st.

Thanks,
Brad Christian
