Default 25ish foot coastal cruiser

Hi All,
I am looking to build a cruiser around this size. I have had my eye on
the DiDi 26 by Dudley Dix for some time. It seems to be a good
construction technique, and produces very attractive results.
It has a fair amount of space too, the only thing that concerns me, is
headroom (I am 6'10", so my sitting headroom is a bit more than a
regular person)

I have been also looking at the Vagabond at bateau.com. It seems
alright, though I am not sure on the construction technique..

Does anybody have any other vessels that fit within this range? I am
open to all ideas, my main requirements a

Somewhere around 25ish feet.
As much interior headroom as possible in a small vessel
Decent performance, but I won't be racing or anything like that.
Ability to comfortably take 4 adults (and maybe a couple of kids) on a
day trip.

I'm also interested in opinions on the two vessels i mentioned
earlier..

Thanks

Daniel

Thanks Brian,
I have seen the site of the builder who has increased the freeboard,
and I agree this looks promising, I am going to contact Dudley
regarding implications of raising the COG and so forth..

Daniel,

Contact Dudley Dix... I know one European builder increased the freeboard with
Dudley's blessing... That may be all you need.

You might also consider a boat that has a slide top cabin or a
removable top cabin. I'm 6'2" and find that most boats dont have much
headroom too, i can only imagine how bad it must be for you! I sail a
thunderbird 26 which i use for cruising, even though it probably doesnt
have enough room to be a luxurious cruiser i find its pretty good for
me
