![]() What a bag of ****! He has no experience. Sadly this glaring fact is escaping the hordes enamored of the idea of voting a black man into office. Or, worse yet, anything but a republican. Idiots, do they no remember the TRAIN WRECK of Jimmy Carter's term in office? No experience, no infrastructure, handed a precarious economy, oil woes. Unfortunately if they elect this inexperienced candidate they'll doom us at to repeat that miserable time. |

He is a good man, too good to be a politician. He will be eaten alive in office and America will suffer. |

He's done nothing, run nothing, sponsored no legislation, nadda, zip, zilch. America will suffer if he's elected, whether or not he's 'eaten alive' isn't the problem. |

According to you and a whopping 30% of the voting public. You can't be all wrong! -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com |

Unfortunately if they elect this inexperienced candidate they'll doom us at to repeat that miserable time. And, those with "experience" did what exactly? Screwed things up for us and the rest of the world. Interesting that the greatest innovation takes place in areas where "inexperience' is an asset. Last I checked Carter was a president in the last century. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com |

He was born in 1961. Carter was president from 1977 to 1981. Obama was barely old enough to vote when Carter left office. Perhaps you can compare McCain to Reagan. At least McCain was on the team when Ronny Raygun was around. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com |

So since he was just a kid then, he has a license to make Carter's same mistakes all over again, eh. I don't know. Which mistakes are you talking about? So tell me, Jon, how should one determine the "right" amount of profit for a company to earn? No profit? Consult a panel of experts who would set it? Maybe a Central Committee? Don't know. McCain seemed to know. He said he wasn't in favor of them. I'm sure he knows more than I about the subject. What's the order of magnitude of the gross margins of: Oil Companies? Pharma Companies (who now like to call themselves "Pharmaceutical Research Companies")? Electronics Manufacturers? Computer Equipment makers? Microsoft? Sounds fine to me. Is that the order from most to least obscene? Glad I'm not on the list! Are these the right margins? If not, how much more should the guvmint take from each of them so their profit margins will be "right"? Near as I can figure, in the liberal lexicon "obscene" profits are whatever profits are made by the other fella. This was McCain speaking... except when he got in front of the big oil crowd of course! Oh, and BTW, current unemployment rates, and yuppies having to park their power boats and SUVs for a while, hardly qualify as a "nation crisis." Have you noticed how empty the roads are recently? So, it's the yuppies who are unemployed, not the inner city kids looking for a summer job, ones that are now filled by the elderly? I have no sympathy for powerboaters! It's crowded on the freeway in Silicon Valley. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com |
