Default short shafting

Short shafting, recycling metals, do you keep your old brake parts,
etc?

Do you sign your lottery tickets at the store? Is there a pen
available at the vending point? Does the operator urge you to please
sign your ticket?

Do you dicker to get a discount at the motel or hardware store?

Do you wish for the good old days when milk came without those damned
plastic lids? Do you long for the days when a pile of properly folded
waxed paper milk cartons could be used to shingle your dog's house or
kindle a wet wood fire?

Why not?

How many other uses are there for the good old days of: Glass bottles,
Waxed paper milk cartons, Cellophane wrap, etc?
