He has studiously avoided demonstrating his mechanical expertise by
telling us about what he did to that old A4. Dave, I never failed to give info on the A4, and I've done it more than once. The A4 had water in it and we pulled the head and freed up the valves. I pulled a carb from another A4 which was in better shape and then got the motor running off the boat. Probably the toughest part was getting the motor back in correct alignment. As for the other questions...what's the point? I could look up anything I don't know and I never professed to be an expert, only a fan. I rarely bother with such questions as folks like Bob Crantz and Doug are google-maniacs anyway. I know cheap trailer trash and Doug fits that to a tee. His explanation of why he doesn't watch films is all I need to hear. Scotty, if possible, is an even lower form of life. Gotta run now. I'm making some safety lines in my shop for a short trip we're doing with Thomas in July for a raft-up in Port Jeff. RB 35s5 NY |
