I am replacement the incadescent bulbs on my boat with ones that are
more green in their energy usage. I have found that the compact
flourescents cause too much radio and gps noise and aren't that
efficient, so I am looking at replacing everything with LED lighting.
A weekday crewmember recommended going to oil lamps for the interior.
They do give a nautical "air" but how environmentally sound are they?
Thank you,

Milton

Milton, you must be the greatest example of the ignorant liberal ever on
this group. I ask you why would anybody care about 'green' on the
electrical system of a sailboat? A real sailboat is naturally green. All
you need is a photovoltaic array to produce all the "green" electricity
you need. Any electric light run by solar panels is "greener" (I just
hate that stupid phrase!) than burning oil. Shows how you liberals are
so thoroughly brainwashed by the environmental whackos.

Isn't he wonderful? Oops, I meant Capt. Neal that is still out to sea until
June 1st. I wish he would come home earlier so I could pick at him.
