Is that because you're discounting an entire people?

Read the Constitution, Jon. The Second Amendment applies to citizens. Is
that really so difficult to grasp?

Thank god for the Gitmo gulag then!

Keep at it. Maybe you should claim Hillary did it.

Why would I blame Hillary?
The only one to blame is the Seung-hui Cho. Thats something you
liberal seems to not understand, people are responsible for their own
actions.

Nope. Hillary is to blame. She a liberal QED she did it.

Typical liberal--blame everyone but the person at fault. g

I apologize. Bush did it. g

People thought the same thing about slavery...

Are you attempting to equate the abolition of slavery to gun control???
Would you be willing to plunge the country into years of civil war resulting
in the death of hundreds of thousands, the destruction of cities, a failed
economy, all in order to save a few dozen lives each year?

Nope. But, you did quite nicely. What you describe isn't that far from
what is already happening due to gun violence... someone said, 30K a
year, not counting collateral damage to families.

This country was founded and has prospered because of non-natives. I
guess being a legal alien since he was five doesn't count for much in
your book. Perhaps he should have been deported.

Not deported but the question rises as to why, at the age of 23, he had
not declred citzenship or the intent of taking citizenship. Most

Maybe because he had mental problems or maybe because at 23, having
been here since he was a baby, he really didn't see the urgency? Who
knows. It makes no difference at all

But it does make a difference...there is none so blind as those that
cannot see...take off your blinders, Jon...

resident aliens can't wait for their 7 years to be up so they can become
a citizen. If you have no intention of becoming a citizen, then why have
permanent resident status unless you're a representative of a foreign
country? I am not speaking here about visas for people who come here
with a specific purpose for a specific time. They come and they go and
that's all right. I don't care if non-citizens go to our colleges and
universities as long as they take what they learned back to improve
their own nations. I do take issue with people that come here to drink

from our well and then spit in it when they're finished.

Who decides? You?

As in the collective "you". yes...all of us...the citizens of this
country...

That would be the least of our worries. The enemies are all around us,
batten down the hatches! Hurry!

That's almost laughable that you react that way when the terrorists from
9/11 were in this country, perpetrated their crime in this country, and
were trained in this country...yes...the enemy IS all around us becasue
we frickin let them in, harbor them, and encourage them by our apathy to
blow us up, shoot us, and destroy our economy...

I'm discounting anyone who is not an American citizen...

Ah... like Tony Blair, Nelson Mandela, Ghandi, the Pope... those
people.

Now you're being absolutely stupid...none of those people are resident
aliens or never would be..only person I can think of at the moment that
is a resident alien with that status is the Dali Lama...and he is a
political refuge and is hjere under the flag of diplomacy...totally
different...as are all refuges here because of a diplomatic event...they
did not choose to leave their countries and abandon their ideals, their
countries chose to change the ideal and make them a wanted person or a
partiah...I

Nice pat answer that means nothing.

Collective? Sounds commie to me. I think one person should decide.

I don't believe they tried to export any guns, which was your
argument. And, since you brought it up, Republicans were in charge and
had been warned by the previous administration. They went on vacation.

I assure you that terrorist organizations get weapons using much simpler
and more efficient methods than smuggling sporting weapons acquired one
at a time in the U.S... They either get their weaponry given to them
buy a sympathetic government, who may well have acquired those arms
through legal channels. There have been reports over the years of the US
government either outright giving weapons to other regimes or heavily
subsidizing those transactions, only to have the same weapons turn up at
later date pointed at US troops or their allies. Then there's always
the arms dealer route, quasi legitimate people who buy large quantities
of arms from US manufactures promising to transfer the weapons to users
acceptable to the US gov'mint, presenting false End Use Certificates,
there have been many credible reports that would suggest that the
gov'mint is perfectly well aware of this, but chooses to do nothing
about it.
