Well, as I said...we have an awesome hi tech main ready to go on the
boat! It's lying here in the hall, rolled and waiting. You could not EVER look at this and think it was used. Amazing deal! BUT, I spoke to a few sailors who race and they were worried about the Pentax Mylar being cut down from 135% (actually 133.3333%) all the way down to 115%. There was some concern that the movement of the center of effort would stress the tri-radial sail wrong, outside of it's design goal and shorten it's life. Okay....Not more than 20 minutes after that conversation my phone rings and it's the loft. He says he can't cut the sail down to 115% for exactly that reason. It will be more in the 120-125% range.
