JG's ideas! :-) I've never seen a recreational boat kedged of a dock (I've kedged off a number of other things), but I have used a pole on a number of occasions. I used to use a winter storage yard that was totally low budget - instead of a lift they had an old truck and a homemade frame. Boats were moved off the frame onto cradles with an array of small hydraulic jacks. Instead of a work boat with an engine, they would pole around their little cove with 20 foot poles. |
