Default The Three Worst Presidents

I didn't hear... what did he say?

Carter lambasted the president for "torturing" Islamic fascist prisoners.

Okay, okay, I'd have to agree that being forced to listen to Red Hot Chili
Peppers 24/7 might be a form of torture, but if it gets results . . .

Carter was terrible, but he's made up for it as one of the best
ex-presidents.

Actually Carter was a pretty good President. History is
appraising him more and more highly as time goes on.

Until today when he crossed an unwritten line to avoid criticizing a sitting

Carter's first occasion. While I agree with what he said, it opens the
floodgates for ex-presidents to rip on the incumbents. Not a healthy
precedent, and it lacks any semblance of class.

Yeah. like any Bush/Cheney cheeleader is going to approve of
anything Carter ever does or says. Maybe if you didn't
constantly harp how he's personally two of the Axis of Evil,
this kind of statement might actually mean something.

Besides, plenty of former Presidents get involved in
politics. Look at some of George Bush Sr's statements about
Gore & Kerry. Look at what Eisenhower said about Nixon, and
they were members (in theory) of the same political party.

Partisanship is ugly and destructive. But apparently it's
the only semblance of real life some people have these days.

Ah, you like and approve of double-digit inflation? A slumping economy?

Whatever turns you on, Doug.

You're full of ****, Doug. I detest Bush. You are just too bound up in
your hatred of anything beyond the left wing to notice.

Besides, plenty of former Presidents get involved in politics. Look at

Gore and Kerry were sitting presidents??? Or did you conveniently ignore
that aspect of my statement (above), same as you do most of my other
statements?

Look at what Eisenhower said about Nixon, and they were members (in theory)
of the same political party.

What did Ike say, and when? I don't recall anything, and I was here at the
time. I doubt if you were.

Partisanship is ugly and destructive. But apparently it's the only

Partisanship can be very ugly. The country is divided, perhaps inexorably.
And people like you are as much a part of the problem as those you accuse of
being so. If you were non-partisan you'd be as accusatory of the left wing
as you are of the right wing. Nuf said.

What does this have to do with sailing?

Jimmy Carter/Ronald Reagon Tie for 3rd worst
Jimmy Carter was certainly a man of high standards, but his total lack
of experience lead to a 4 year stalemate for American politics. Reagan
was well loved and knew how to play the average American like a fiddle,
but he was a racist cowboy who attempted to destroy the melting pot
that was the very fabric and soul of America

George Bush Sr, 2nd worst
Compared to his son, Bush Sr. seems like a mild prototype of his son,
though he did embrace at least some republican values of merit.

George Bush Jr. Worst president of all time...so far
Started war over invented WMDs
9/11 occurs on his watch
Sits in class room while towers burn and Americans die
Admits Iraq is no threat a few months before starting war campaign. It's
on tape.
Uses OLD and VERY OLD intelligence dating back to early 90's to support
war.
Announced the worlds funniest coalition of support (with almost zero
military support).
Useless war generates the worst anti-American standard worldwide.
War claims the lives of thousands of Americans, civilians and children.
US forces are sent in without basic gear required and must scavenge for
it.
Bush opposes woman's right to choose.
Bush opposes stem cell research against massive public outcry to appease
his religious friends.
Bush denies secret prisons, torture and worse, then admits to it, defying
the basic principals on which this country was founded.
Bush allows big oil to gouge the American public and they don't even try
to hide the profits.

Congrats to our current president and his very few supporters.
