Thom, don't talk about things you don't understand. I'm a former animal
handler and my father was a HS lecturer on herpetology for 12 years ICW
the NY Zoological Society. I have 1st hand experience with venomous
snakes and bites. Some of the snakes I've handled included Diamond Back
rattler, Spitting Cobra and several rear fanged snakes.

Nutsy,

I asked you; when was the last time you seen a poisonous snake on a
Sailboat on Long Island Sound? I'll even go so far as to say that you
have never seen a poisonous snake,in the wild on Long Island. They don't
exist!

Now! I won't say you've never seen some one down a jigger of Rum for
"Snake Bite". done it myself.

But, I don't think there was ever a poisonous snake to witness it. Even
from you that would be to much of a Lie!

Thom, imagine if you will that you are in the field and bitten by a
large Eastern Diamond Back rattlesnake. The bite is on the leg. You
have no phone or any manner to call from help. You have been hiking and
any kind of help is 20 miles away in either direction of difficult
terrain. You have food and water.
What do you do?

Washing down the cages at the zoo does not make you an
animal handler.

Some of the snakes I've handled includesnip

we don't need a long list of your former boyfriends.

NY Zoological Society A/V Parks supervisor. That was my job when I was
20. I did animal handling of exotic stuff much later on to aid my
father who was doing work for George Romero, Letterman and Penn and
Teller at the time. The last job we did together was on Men in Black. I
did the roach gag with Will Smith kicking the dumpster, 2nd unit.
I made more money in 3 days than you make in 6 months.

Sorry, Scotty Vermon.
