![]() I have another jigger of martini in the boat.. skipper has his jacket on and is barking and I'm heading out for a nite sail. Hey, first Joe says he doesn't like just sailing locally...and now after we go for a short sail he's out TWICE!!! Ummmm...okay, sure....we all believe that! Only fools sail and drink, especially at night. Such bad seamanship. But then you're not actually sailing anywhere and now you'll have to respond to this much later so it looks like you left! At least it's safe to drink, so you're only half lying. And dude, what's with your spelling. It smacks of a total lack of education. Those are not typo's. They are the spelling and ill diction of a man who never made it beyond the 5th grade. But it's true...we aren't sailing tonight. Our daysail was just fine and we just watched the Neil Young documentary on our 10 foot wide screen. Got one of those, Joe...or maybe you hate music and cinema along with daysailing...! Good lord....I haven't stomped anyone so easily since Mooron admitted the Nordica workmanship was shoddy on the Nordica website! Will any of you EVER learn? My mind CONTAINS your minds. Tell 'em Bob Crantz. They need help...perhaps Joe most of all. RB 35s5 NY |

![]() "Capt. Rob" wrote in message oups.com... My mind CONTAINS your minds. Tell 'em Bob Crantz. They need help...perhaps Joe most of all. Two goldfish in a fishbowl are talking. The first one says, "Sure there must be a god". The second one says, "How do you know?" The first one replies,"Who do you think feeds us?". RB, your mind is far too powerful for most here to even conceive of, let alone challenge and defeat. With Joe, it is like an ant against a Saturn 5 rocket. The ant can never realize the size of the rocket in its entirety or its total blast power. Its size and power extend beyond the ant's universe. Instead RB, be gentle and kind. Bob Crantz, I have no boat! |

Nutsy,
___Only fools sail and drink, especially at night. Such bad seamanship.-----posted by Nutsy (G) Your lack of seamanship is showing. You seem to have no knowledge of the Traditional "Rum Ration" supplied the sailors on Sailing Ships for years. Better men than you & I have been drinking and sailing for many, many years. A sign of good seamanship! Ol Thom |

Right you are Thom. In days of yore sailing was a hardy proffession with no
luxury, let alone comfort. Looking forward to the rum ration was a high point of the day, much like people looking forward to their small bag of peanuts and 1/2 can of soda on an airline flight. RB can only associate liquor with excess. Real manly men can and do hold their liquor. Mooron holds it with both hands. RB is not a sailor nor a manly man and I don't think he can even fit into an airline seat. Bob Crantz, I have no boat! |

hold their liquor. Mooron holds it with both hands. In many hundreds of tests, it has been found that even a single beer impairs reaction time for ANYONE. Since I'm one of the few people here actually earning money with sailing, I could claim I deserve a drink now and again. But I don't need to drink. Like smoking it's for the weak willed. RB 35s5 NY |

Nutsy,
Over-eating or being Hungry will impair reaction. So will being tired. Being distracted can be a lot worst than a couple of drinks. MODERATE Nutsy. I alway tried to seriously examine my own condition when the "Sun rose over the Yardarm" and if conditions warranted it; a beer or better was in order. Served me well for almost 70 years. Ol T |

But I won't even jokingly advocate such an idiotic practice. A boat should be handled sober at all times, no different than a car in that respect. If you're caught in NY drinking and operating a boat you lose the boat. RB 35s5 NY |
