If we have a million Mexicans a year coming into the country with no jobs and no education, but with
a most prolific ability, wouldn't the poverty rate increase as a matter of course?

and no education, but with
a most prolific ability, wouldn't the poverty rate increase as a matter of

course?

The poverty rate is always going to remain relatively the same, since it
represents the lower 20% of the economic scale. What they dare not do is
establish a poverty level consistant throughout the world, because poverty
in america would all but disappear.

"All but"??? I'd venture an unhesitating guess that in a standardized
worldwide grading system, the poorest person in the US would fall somewhere
above the fiftieth percentile.

Actually, it's closer to two million

And most are not included in statistics on illiteracy &
poverty since they are mostly undocumented.
