Percentage of Americans in poverty grew for the fourth straight year, the

If we have a million Mexicans a year coming into the country with no jobs and no education, but with
a most prolific ability, wouldn't the poverty rate increase as a matter of course?

The poverty rate is always going to remain relatively the same, since it
represents the lower 20% of the economic scale. What they dare not do is
establish a poverty level consistant throughout the world, because poverty
in america would all but disappear.

Maybe we should tie free abortions to free sterilization for those unable to afford raising their
offspring.

"All but"??? I'd venture an unhesitating guess that in a standardized
worldwide grading system, the poorest person in the US would fall somewhere
above the fiftieth percentile.

Actually, it's closer to two million

And most are not included in statistics on illiteracy &
poverty since they are mostly undocumented.
