Default Bad Moon A rising

I've always imagined Bubbles to be some sordid, maligned

middle-age man with
arrested maturity, sitting alone in his tiny flat in

Flatbush, glued to his
computer, fabricating an existence that he believes will

impress others,
because it certainly would impress him. Periodic visits

to his
successfully-employed and married sister in Manhattan

enable him to take
shots of his nephew (Thomas) and his sister (Suzy).

Forays to the local
marina allow him the opportunity to shoot his favorite

boat, the Bendy 35s5,
that is owned by someone he doesn't know but is seldom on

the boat, enabling
Bubbles to take numerous shots of it. His Kodak 1.3

megapixel digital
camera that he bought at Goodwill for $10 enables him to

"verify" his
imaginary existence. His '79 Dodge Dart is a far cry from

his purported
Subaru STI or even his wishfully-thought Kia Sedona. His

13" B&W tv is
nothing at all like his sister's front projection tv that

she had to
purchase when her Bubbles got drunk and fell into the

screen of her
rear-projection unit. And his only resource is an old,

stolen library book
on sailing, which enables him to speak halfway coherently

on sailing topics.

You are right to pity him and abstain from ridiculing him

further. He
deserves only our sympathy . . .

. . . and some intensive psychotherapy.
