Night sailing in that kind of weather is damn good "Seamanship" Much more enjoyable than watch TV but a "Lard Ass" wouldn't really understand that. You got it Ol Thom...Sailing after the blazing sun sets is the way to go here. We had very light winds and 95 degrees until after sunset. We usually switch to night sailing around July 4th. The seabreeze after dark was perfect, the moon was bright, the sky was crystal clear, saw a few shooting stars. Got to stress test the new rudder somewhat. Had the new main on, but still using the snipe jib (can't find where I stashed that harkin roller furler base) Hope to have everything ship shape tonight. Joe |
