Why not use a humane killer, as they do in the slaughter houses? Or a .38
Special wheelgun with a point-blank shot to the brain? The answer:
they're too cheap and lazy to bother with being humane.

Not only would it ruin the pelt.... but think of the video footage Max's
friends could shoot of headless, skinned seal pups gurgling blood for hours
