One of these days you Yanks will learn how to pronounce the letter "R"... maybe. And you Cannucks might just learn that Z is pronounce Zee, not zed . . . maybe. Max Actually it is zed, the way the English language is. And that stuff you put in your cars is petrol...it's a liquid, not a gas I'll grant you one point: why we call it an "elevator" is beyond me, when "lift" is brief and less pretentious. Max |

![]() "Peter Wiley" wrote in message . .. In article , Maxprop wrote: Really... the USA ain't that great a place! Canada is mind you! There are myriad places in the USA that are gorgeous, and I never tire of visiting them. And the job/career/business opportunities here are probably greater in number and scope than those in Canada. But neither is really important. I simply don't want to be told I cannot go someplace where I should reasonably be able to go. So far I haven't found such a place. Try taking a sailboat to Cuba..... yeah, I know, you don't actually want to go there, so it doesn't count. Riiiiiight. First: I'd love to sail to Cuba, and plan to do so someday. Second, I am able to sail to Cuba, provided I spend no money there, and have a sponsor who lives there. Both points are easily dealt with, especially if one doesn't mind jousting with the INS upon returning to the US. Third, I can always drive into Canada and take a flight to Havana. Want me to bring you some good cigars? Max |

Dang.... you're right Vito! I noticed that annoying habit of Yanks to add the "R" after an "A" at the end of a word. So when Bobsprit says the word "Cuba"... it sounds like "Cubar".... CM |

Seahag (and bring the li'l birdie:^) Tell you both what... if you ever decide to visit Nova Scotia, I'll place Overproof at Mahone Bay for your use. You'd both love the laid back attitude and down home friendly locals. Fresh Fruit & Veg Markets, Sunday swap meet and Flea Market at the local Store Parking lot. Great Marina with free tender service, free showers and all vessels to a mooring. I won't be heading to the USA... personal choice. I don't generally frequent counties with a "Big Brother is Watching You" attitude, "Jack-Booted" security tactics and a standard "Yellow Alert" Status.... it's just too much of a hassle. If things change in the USA..... and I did ever go down there... I would make certain to visit both of you. :-) CM |

Good news. I'd still keep an eye on the keel trunk area
at time goes on, just to be cautious. OzOne wrote in "Bart Senior" .@. scribbled thusly: Oz, Did you miss the discussions of Bavaria's we had? Yes, I did, but thanks for bringing it up. I got straight on the phone and talked with the guy who did the survey for the bank. He was aware of the problem but had not seen it in any Bavaria he had looked at. He feels that the problem was only in a small number of boats, the 42Match, a lightened race version, still he does check every one and assured me that all was OK. Oz1...of the 3 twins. |
