We both know that if there is ice under a snowfall... it's an Ice Road.... and the three requirements are to be able to make progress, to be able to direct progress and to be able to halt progress. Certainly if your "SUV" has a 12" clearance and you drive into 24" of snow.... stopping will not be an issue..... progress and direction will come to an abrupt halt. If the same vehicle encounters a low traction area... a simple reduction of speed will allow all three factors to be retained and safely make directed progress CM |
